Erling Haaland Signs Long-Term Deal with Manchester City Until 2034

Date:

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has secured his future at the Etihad with a new long-term contract that extends his stay until 2034.

The Norwegian forward, who joined City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, has been prolific, netting 111 goals in 126 appearances for the club. Haaland’s previous contract, which reportedly included a release clause, was set to expire in 2027.

With this new deal, Haaland could remain with City until his 34th birthday, making it the longest contract in the Premier League, surpassing the nine-year deal signed by Cole Palmer with Chelsea last August.

“I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great club,” Haaland expressed. “Manchester City is a special club, full of fantastic people with amazing supporters, and it’s the type of environment that helps bring the best out of everybody.

“I also want to thank [manager] Pep [Guardiola], his coaching staff, my teammates, and everyone at the club as they have all helped me so much in the past couple of years.”
