Kendrick Lamar’s rivalry with Canadian rapper Drake has led to monumental success, as his diss track ‘Not Like Us’ made history at the 67th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.
The song bagged five awards, including Best Rap Song, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, making it the most awarded rap song in Grammy history.
Remarkably, ‘Not Like Us’ now stands alongside Childish Gambino’s ‘This Is America’ as the only rap songs ever to win Record of the Year at the Grammys. It also holds the distinction of being the first diss track to win both Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
With these new accolades, Lamar’s Grammy count has risen to 22, cementing his position as the third most-awarded rapper in history, following Jay-Z and Kanye West.
